Princes Trust & Benefits

Hello .
I was wondering if anyone could give me any Financial advice. My son is 16 and has a place for next year at an Army Foundation College. Due to this he has been offered a place on a 12 week course with the Prince's Trust. I was just wondering where i stand with Benefits. I currently claim working tax credit & child tax credit but this is due to come to an end as he is no longer in education. I am wondering what my options are. Thank you

wouldnt that depend on the number of hours that the OP works?
if the OP is a lone parent, they would have only needed to work 16 hours a week.
if the son is an only/youngest child, then the OP would need to work a minimum of 30 hours a week to qualify for WTC.
  • Thank you both for replies

I am a Lone parent who works 19 hrs a week. I also have a younger child
  • When my son, then 17, went on a Prince's Trust scheme four years ago, it was treated just as if he was at college, and I still received CTC and WTC as well as Child Benefit. I was working full time.
