Not just for students but also for parents, grandparents and those involved in educational establishments too. Whilst it's still a cost it's a very small cost in comparison to the full price and it's the whole suite of applications.
I'm a happy bunny cos, thanks to another thread, I've now downloaded the mathematics add-on too.0 -
Is she a University student?
As you can get Office 2010 from Microsoft for £49.99

I'm newbie and can't post links yet.0 -
You may have "MS WORKS" or "MS OFFICE 2010 STARTER" (Word / Excel) already installed on your new Laptop.
My netbook came with MS Office Starter.0 -
Or £79.99 from Amazon for a three user license so you can upgrade at home too.
The other editions of Student suggested on this thread are single user editions, and may be downloads rather than the disc.
Open office is compatible but operates a little differently.
MS Works and Starter have limited functionality and in the case of works I have heard that documents will not open if used elsewhere."If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....
