Top cleaning tip - black gloss cabinets and LCD TV screens

For many years i've been into car detailing and have spent thousands of pounds on car cleaning and polishing products.
However, for cleaning gloss surfaces and things like LCD TV screens, i've always used general household cleaners (Windolene, Mr Sheen, etc).
My kitchen has gloss black units and these are notoriously difficult to clean, as are the worktops.
So, over the weekend I raided my car cleaning products and found a spray bottle of Einszett Cockpit Premium:
http://www.einszett.co.uk/Cockpit-Premium.php
It's designed for all car interior surfaces and i've been using it in my cars for many years now. It restores the finish to a factory finish. It's my number one car detailing product.
I used it on my kitchen units, worktops and TVs. All I can say is "WOW"! The kitchen looks brand new and so do my TVs. It's quite a miraculous transformation and far better than I was expecting. The gloss finishes are a deep gloss now with no dust. The TVs look like they've just been unpacked, despite being several years old.
You can pretty much use this product on any hard surface in your home. It leaves no streaks. Just spray on sparingly and wipe and buff using a good quality microfibre cloth.

Thanks for the link! Just cleaning my gloss white kitchen and yeah I use window cleaner with microfibre cloth for glass. Pain in the !!! to clean, the worst thing is it "looks" clean, but the plinth is horrid.
What on earth possessed you to get high gloss black units?I wanted high gloss black worktop but when I found out about dust/fingermarks etc, I was put off! I don't know what to get in my new place, I especially don't want a white plinth.0 -
The kitchen was the only thing I kept after I moved in. The previous owners had spent all of their money on it and it really does look nice with gloss black units and wine red splashbacks on the wall. The previous owners also installed five stages of 'mood' lighting in the kitchen so that different parts of the kitchen can be lit up! But, I was cleaning all the surfaces a couple of times a week and they never looked good. I then tried Einszett Cockpit Premium and the results just stunned me.
A bottle of the stuff I mentioned should be good for quite a few months, maybe even a year or two, with cleaning once a week.Everyone is entitled to my opinion!0 -
Thanks! Will buy it once I move!0

Here's a tip, if you want to clean glass, lcd screens etc then soak a rag with soda water, clean the glass/ lcd, then dry with a dry cloth, better than any glass cleaner.0

I use a soapy sponge, rinse with a damp sponge then dry with a linen tea towel on my black gloss kitchen units. Works perfectly."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0
