I have a camcorder thats a JVC GR-D720,
Have made a recording and now want to get this from a small tape cassette onto a dvd via my PC if poss, the only leads with this seem to be the the one lead that then splits into three colours, red, yellow, and white.
This must just plug into the TV, I cannot see where it will plug into my PC that is a Packard Bell Imedia approx 11 months old.
Any ideas gratefully received.
Thanks,

To connect to your PC, you'll need a capture card, for example - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/EASYCAP-USB-2-0-VIDEO-CAPTURE-CARD-TV-VHS-DVD-ADAPTER-/120766721503?pt=UK_Computing_Computer_Components_Graphics_Video_TV_Cards_TW&hash=item1c1e41eddf
If you have a stand alone DVD recorder, this should have the inputs you need to connect the camera direct and record straight to DVD0 -

So I cannot just link this camcorder as it is to my pc then ?0 -
Not in my experience, though I stand to be corrected! The only other option I can think of is to buy (unless you already have one) a graphics card with a 'tv/video in' socket but the USB capture card is probably the easiest way.0

Thank you for that, Flashg67,
These should be in the shops would you think ?
Maybe argos or somewhere0 -
Check the Manual, what ports does the camcorder have?
Does it have one marked "IEEE1394" or "i-Link"
If it does then you'll need a "firewire" card on your PC (You can pick one up for around £10)
Firewire is a fast port (faster than USB in some cases) used to send digital media between devices.Laters

Page 34 of the manual here looks at connecting to a PC

Maybe print the page and ask in a couple of shops to see if they suggest the same thing
Also, take the audio leads you have just in case they fit in somewhere0 -
Thanks guys for your help,0
