Sorry,
But I really need to vent my anger. Moved to my new house at the beginning of August.
Reluctantly went with BT as there is no Virgin in my area.
And OH MY GOD.....never had so many issues within such a short space of time....(I connected to BT on 12th August)
1.They Managed to set up the DD wrong
2.They charged me quarterly in advance when I requested to pay monthly
3.I have had to call them no less than 6 times and the last time being today to which I ended up requesting to cancel.
4.After assuring me they cancelled the DD they took the Money early for the quarterly bill
They had the cheek to say today was the first day I called them and had no records to show that I called before.
Is there a cooling off period with BT where I can cancel and go with Sky instead?

Not sure about the cancellation period but I'll never be a BT customer again,Ever since I got BT in my flat when I moved here in 97,the's hardly been a month where they've messed something up.The last time I set up an agreed amount to pay by DD,they changed the amount without telling me then when I complained they said they told me in my recent bill, which I hadn't got when they tried to take the money from my account as the pay date was before my bill date.(work that one out.!)
Before that, the last time I paid by DD back in 2006 (ish) they tried to take a monthly amount which was different each time from my bank in early July when the DD wasn't due to start until August, which resulted in me getting £140 in bank charges for failed DD's which to this date,I've not got back.As I was away with the Army when this happened I didn't know anything about it till I got home.
Good luck with your issues, you'll get no help but lies & underhand dealing from BT.0 -
