Paying money into a Halifax account through BoS

We're off to Scotland tomorrow and my hubby has forgotten to pay some money into his Halifax account to meet a DD on 1st of the month. Can he pay it in over the counter at BoS and how long would it take to be credited to his account?
Many thanks

That shouldn't be a problem, I've done the opposite (paying a cheque into Halifax for my BoS account). The computer systems are interlinked, it should be exactly the same as had you gone to a Halifax branch.Thank you competition posters!
