Lord only knows how I can prove he is not my partner without telling them I am gay and he is straight. Would they prefer a list of past sexual history?0

I dont see why they would assume that you are both gay and in a relationshop just because you will be sharing a property with another man, its not down to you to prove you arent together, its down to them to prove that you are. As long as there are 2 bedrooms and his clothes are in his wardrobe and it looks like he resides in that bedroom I dont see why they would have a problemcifpower wrote:Lord only knows how I can prove he is not my partner without telling them I am gay and he is straight. Income Support was paid today as usual. Which probably means I have been overpaid which means deductions. Why do they never do what they say they will do?

Maybe they have made their decision to carry on Income Support? You could ring them and ask - you will need to take proof (the letter they send) to Housing Benefit in order to get that reinstated.Torgwen..........

They only received the reply to their letter yesterday and they must have paid the money on Monday for me to receive it today. Plus, they have still paid me the enhanced disability premium which is only payable if I am on my own. I will have to give them a call at 9am to check my claim.0

Just off the phone from Income Support. They received my response yesterday but it has not been looked at. He said he would action it today and I should receive a response in the next few days/0

I rang IS this afternoon. The letter wasn't even looked at and nothing had been done. She did it on the phone with me and told me my suspension had been lifted.

Finally got my Housing Benefit sorted today. They originally thought that my friend was going to be a lodger so they assesed the claim wrongly and only made me responsible for half the rent. After 20 mins on the phone last Friday and another phone call today they have sorted it out and sent me a payment to cover 4 weeks from 8 January.
So I'm feeling happier now.0
