Been a busy and spendy weekend due to OH birthday but we all had a good time so that was worth it. Plus when i was shopping for OH pressies on saturday managed to get quite a lot of freebies and vouchers. Amazing what a nice smile and some chatter will do :D

    but i can claim a NSD 4 today. :j

Just six more to go

Still catching up on all the posts but won't really have time until tomorrow evening at the earliest...

Jinty - I know what you mean with your concerns about the infection being cleared first but sometimes familiar surroundings can do the power of good as well xx

DFF - sorry to hear about your dad, tough times - oddly enough my Brother's GF (I'll refer to her as my SIL) father is also in hospital due to the same thing. I am sure your mum really appreciated your company xx

Nargle your post had me in stitches - which was slightly painful as I've been out for a mahusive meal tonight (work's paying though :D)

Hmmm, I failed at my first attempt at a NSD. However, I only spent £4.09, which is way way way less than I would normally do on a non working day, and some of it was Diet Coke at BOGOF which will hopefully allow me to avoid the sandwich man at work, meaning the next few days will be easier to be NSD's. Except tomorrow I promised to take DD to the fair, so I'll probably need a second mortgage for that  So, it won't be one tomorrow, but hopefully Wed, Thu and Fri should be no issue!

    Fingers crossed....

Tut tut tut - someone hasn't been reading the guidelines for the [STRIKE]asylum [/STRIKE]challenge ..we never ever fail, we always do our best but sometimes life just gets in the way.

As for me, I think that's me half way to target already with NSD #7 :j I did spend, BUT the printer I ordered at the end of last month has been mis-delivered and the company is being totally useless so I have ordered (cheaper) elsewhere and once I get delivery for that I shall be cancelling my other order for a full refund. So I'm not counting that as a spend as I've already counted the prev one...if that makes sense.?

    DEBT TOTAL: £7609.44
  • Hey everyone,

I've not had a very successful month up to now. It's been very spendy. I did manage to achieve NSD #2 on Saturday mainly by not leaving the house.
I'm off to Birmingham with work tomorrow so hopefully I'll be able to manage 3 NSDs in a row because food and drink is provided and there'll be no time for shopping. I will need to pay for the Metro to get into town for the coach pick-up and to get home on Thursday night but since I'll be able to claim this back I won't be counting it as spends.
I'll report back on Friday as to whether I've managed 3 in a row once I've recovered from too much alcohol and not enough sleep.

    Hi
Is it too late for me to join? I didn't realise that there was an actual thread for it and have 1 NSD already - only joined forum last week and finding my way around.
If allowed to join I'd like to aim for 8 NSDs but won't include my SO or DD if ok
Hi Betsie and welcome to the NSD challenge, of course you can join us, it's never too late here:D

BDINI hasn't been around over the past few days but she should be back to welcome you officially tomorrow and sign you up on the front page. In the meantime pull up a chair and make yourself at home and if you need to know anything please just ask.

Well done for your first "official" NSD:j:j:j:j and good luck with getting your remaining 7 - you can do it :T:T:T

Arrrrggggghhhh - lost track :( - know I had at least 2 last week and 1 today but ......

Op is on Wednesday  so panic has been setting in and my mind's all in a pickle!

Might be a while before I can post (although 2 weeks practically bed rest after so prob not a lot else to do apart from read and trawl the net (and let me catch up on loads of posts as haven't been as up to date as I usually am) :o

Hugs for anyone who needs one and keep safe if you're in a windy spot over the next couple of days - I thought we'd missed the worse but it's apparently going to be worse tomorrow lunchtime so fingers crossed it's not too bad.

Good luck with the op, rising, hope everything goes well. Look forward to seeing you back soon.

    Take care

    Good morning all!

The doctors came round last night and the latest is that they've had a re-think and they are not going to treat with IV anti-biotics as first thought, but heavy duty oral meds. All being well, he will get home later today. While that's good for him to be home and in his own surroundings, I think I'd rather he was in hospital until the infection has been cleared. I am in two minds about it!

Off to get ready for work - I think OH has kindly given me his cold, my throat is really scratchy this morning - oh no, that means I wont be able to talk as much :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Have a lovely day all!

    Hi jinty
There's a lot to be said for being in your own surroundings to speed up the recovery process, keeping my fingers crossed for your Dad and sending you all a big (((hug))) xx

Oh dear, sorry about the impending cold, not what you need when you're off on your hols on Friday:( I forgot to say, btw, that your holiday site looks lovely:T:T
