    Can I join in :)

I May be Debt free but now comes the need to maintain it and with OH and daughters birthday this month, plus all the other summer holiday spends i think this thread will help me stay strong.

Can I just ask, is it NSD in a row or just in general?

If its in general then i think i will go for 10 NSD

I wont count DD and other weekly bills as they are dealt with automatically. But any spend over these will be counted.

    Away i go:)

    :wave:Hi QueenB.
Yes, of course you can join us, you're very welcome.

The NSDs are general throughout the month but we also have an additional target which some of go for, that's the "in-a-row" number. You don't have to do this, it's an optional extra.

Hope that helps, you're all signed up now for you 10 NSDs and good luck with getting there.

    Hi lovely gang:A
Wow... lots of NSDs rolling in today, well done everyone. Hope you've all had a good weekend.

More newbies joining up today so a very warm welcome to you all, it’s great to have you on board. If you’re not sure about anything please ask, we’re very friendly and there’s usually someone around to help. Feel free to join in with the chat and general nonsense on here, we’re fairly tame (well, most of the time, if you humour us). Good luck with your first NSD challenge - keep posting, that’s the secret to success here.

:hello:jenjade - signing you up for 16 now. Good luck, you can do it!!
I had the same problem as you before starting this challenge - in the supermarket every day “just for a couple of items”.... Hopefully this challenge will help you break that habit

  • Can I join in? I can't seem to leave the house without spending money on rubbish, so I'd love to have a go at this. I don't think I'll count essential bills but I'll count everything else. I haven't spent anything since Friday so I guess I've got 2 NSDs under my belt already :) I'll aim for 15.

    Good morning chums!

Well as predicted, no NSD yesterday, but I kept my spends to under a tenner and that included a card and wrap for OH birthday on Thurs.
Really worried about OH as I think with his birthday coming up he's really feeling the loss of his Mum. Her birthday was also in September so he's finding it hard. That, together with the fact he's knackered from work and got some kind cold virus does not a happy boy make. He broke down a bit on Saturday and admitted that he's struggling a bit but, typical male, he's bottling it all up. I feel really helpless! Sorry to offload all that! I'm hoping that our upcoming holiday will help hi, to unwind.

We got stuck into the garden yesterday so that should be the final tidy up for the autumn coming in.

Spoon, I'd gladly declutter your spare room, I love doing that! I could easlily do it for a living - life laundry and all that!

Beanie - your soup sounds fab, I really love cauli soup. Is it a Scottish Slimmers recipe?

Anyhoo, off to chuck myself in the shower!

Have a lovely day all and thanks for listening to the rant!:)

Well, Saturday didn't go well as far as NSDs go. Got a phone call in the morning inviting me to a party that night. I ended up spending £20 in my lunch hour on new shoes (I had none to go with the dress I wanted to wear) and some jewellery. I also had to buy a birthday card. Probably spent about £12 on drinks at the party too.

Sunday was a bit better. NSD #1 in the bag. The car boot sale wasn't a roaring success but I came home with slightly more money and slightly less junk than I went with. I had to share the proceeds with my brother so I earned £16.35. Didn't even look around when I was there so I couldn't be tempted to spend anything.

Don't think I'm going to have another NSD for a few days, got cinema and swimming today, fat club tomorrow (think I've put back on the 2lbs I lost last week), and might be going to cinema again on Wednesday.
