Options
Hello,
My son is 13 years old, he has a savings account with Santander and he wants to get an account where he can take money out and put it in, Santander have an account for 11-15yr olds but he cannot use it online, and he wants to be able to use it online, any banks which do this?

Halifax or Bank of Scotland is another option.

Only problem, and this is where Lloyds TSB shoot themselves in the foot, is that you have to be 16 to have internet banking with them and as this is one thing the OP wanted I suspect Lloyds TSB may be out the question.

Having said that, they may bend the rules, I remember getting a cheque book with TSB Bank when I was 14 after asking for one, I was told that normally they do not issue them until you are 16, but they gave me one ;-)
  • He went with HSBC in the end since there's a branch just down the road.
    Thanks:-)
