Hi, just wondered if anyone could recommend (preferably free) software for
1. planning a room layout (3D view would be nice to have, but isn't essential)
2. drawing floorplans?
For the first one I've found these:
http://www.aplusfreeware.com/misc/RoomArranger/RoomArranger.html
http://www.brothersoft.com/ikea-home-planner-bedroom-download-68627.html
http://www.brothersoft.com/room-planner-download-21270.html
- but haven't actually tried any of them out yet.
(I'm on Windows XP.)
Thanks!

Not quite free, but depends how much you're going to use it.

you could get a trial of autocad too and give that a go - or the full version of google sketch up can be fun to play withThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
