Alternative use for wine rack holes?!

I've just moved to a new house and the kitchen has 4 circular holes arranged vertically between two of the eye-level cupboards for wine bottles to be stored. I rarely drink and don't want to use these spaces for wine bottles. What can I do with the spaces? I've ruled out storing bottles of cooking oil - I think they'll leak and generally be too short anyway.
I'd be very grateful for ideas - the more creative the better!

Put in 3 lights, red, green and amber and have your own kitchen 'traffic island'. Paint a zebra across your newly-tiled floor and teach your kids how to cross the road safely. The fourth, extraneous hole can be used for storing drugs.0

Rolled up tea towels? Brightly coloured coordinated ones would look lovely :-) or those posh bottles of squash that I love and can't afford :-( bottlegreen, I think is the brand... Biscuit packets (not for me, they would always be empty!). Or pringles, maybe...0

I have the shelf type wine racks rather than round ones but use them to store teatowels. I also have another set (filling lots of odd spaces when designing the kitchen) and have put some cute little salt and pepper sets that i received as presents on them, they just look like skinny display shelves!0

Great for used supermarket carrier bags, which we use to carry recycling to the bin."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0
