Hi guys,
Went into Behar carpet store today looking for a rug. They had it on for £220 down from £400.
I asked if they would price match another store that was selling it at £185 as previously I wasnt sure if I wanted that particular rug.
They basically said no and when I queried their price promise which state "lowest prices guarenteed" + "we will match any price" the manager / assistant manager (no name badges) replied it was at his disgretion.....
Is this normal? or were they just at it...
I have to say whether or not they did price match it I found them all to be quite rude...
Not a nice experience.....

Was it the exact same product?
Was it on sale in the other store?0 -
it was the exact same product. I checked the maunfacturers number on both.
It wasnt on sale anywhere else. Behar were the only store saying it was initially £400 odd pound. The other store just said normal price was £185.....0 -
Then buy it from the other store, simples.
.Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -
umm yes it was simple and yes I now have the present I wanted for someone from a more polite store. :rotfl:
The point I was asking was are they allowed to do this? and if they are how does the price promise actually work...0
