Hello
I am about to turn 30 years old and my partner is a little older than me
We currently rent at £650 a month in Greater London / Kent and have a 5 year plan to move out to either the south coast (Worthing-ish area) or Nottingham (where my family live).
My partner has a decent credit history but currently I have defaults which in a few years should fall off my report.
Anyways we are looking at shared-ownership as we would never be able to save up loads of money or get a good enough mortgage for a place outright. I have seen places that are for a 25% share at anything from £25k-80k.
Has anyone got any advice on shared-ownership? We aren't really looking for an investment or to hand down to children as we don't plan to have any and we won't really be looking to move on every through years. All we want is a 2 bed flat/house in a decent area.
If all goes well I share be starting a job in a hospital show so should be classed as a 'key worker'.
Are all SO properties through HA's? Do they become your landlords etc
