ok. theres a few things it could be and to be honest i'd be guessing. in my experience of beko (12 years working for dsg who own currys, most as a store manager), then i would put it down to it being a beko. i know people like which rate them, but in the company we could never understand why, but to be fair we couldnt understand 90% of review reccomendations. personally i would replace, with brands like whirlpool, hoover etc, i think bosch are very over rated but thats just my personal opinion. avoid very cheap eg frigidaire, and indesit/hotpoint/beko is the only advice i would stongly give0

Would be worth asking how much to extend the warranty to two years, or consider one with domgen, if no cheaper then may as well revert to John Lewis

Mine is a Bosch which I have had since 19910 -
Same fridge freezer is £321 from Appliances online with free next day delivery. They have a phone number there which might be worth phoning to double check. See http://www.appliancesonline.co.uk/product/KGV33NW20G-Bosch-Classixx-Fridge-Freezer-White-23250.aspx?specification=false&cm_mmc=Google%20PPC-_-Product%20Codes-_-Fridge%20Freezers%20-%20Codes/Bosch%20KGV33NW20G-_-Bosch%20KGV33NW20G&gclid=CN6-yt_T_qoCFYYmtAodUEM90A
You can also get 2% cashback from TopCashback http://www.topcashback.co.uk/appliances_online/
It all helps.
Probably telling u what u already know but when I am buying a major appliance I always google "cheapest (appliance model number)" just to double check if I can't get it cheaper elsewhere. Its amazing how u can cut money spent that way (managed to buy a £699 cooker for £320 etc).0 -
Dont know if this will help but found http://www.appliancesonline.co.uk/product/RL40LGTC-Samsung-Fridge-Freezer-Silver-23536.aspx?specification=true&cm_mmc=Google%20PPC-_-Product%20Codes-_-Fridge%20Freezers%20-%20Codes/Samsung%20RL40LGTC-_-RL40LGTC&gclid=CNv-uavj_qoCFUcMtAodT0Qq0Q
This is a Samsung.., frost free, more than big enough storage wise (but 60 cm wide) and frost free. It carries a 2 year manufacturers warranty .., and quite nice for £430.0 -
Hope u'r not getting tired of me posting.
I found this Siemens frost free fridge freezer http://www.comet.co.uk/p/Fridge-Freezers/buy-SIEMENS-KG34NX74GB-Fridge-Freezer/640921/?cm_mmc=Dealtime-_-Feed-_-Fridge+Freezers-_-640921&_%24ja=tsid:9738|cc:|prd:640921|cat:kitchen+%26+home+%3E+fridges+%26+freezers+%3E+fridge+freezers#
Its £570 but Comet are offering £100 cashback redeemable from Siemens. The 5 year extended warranty offer is only available for 'certain models' obtained from them (Siemens) or 'accredited dealers' but I couldn't find mention of who the accredited dealers are. I did find that my local Comet are an authorised dealer so it might be worth phoning Siemens up, finding out if u can buy online from Comet and still get the extended warranty on this particular model. Comet aren't advertising the extended warranty but lol, they are trying to get u to pay them for an extended warranty. U might be able to get both the cashback and extended warranty offer from Siemens. Stranger things have happened lol. I'd phone Siemens first though.
I hope this helps.0 -
I'd suggest getting the Fridge freezer you want and then look at getting an extended warranty in a couple of months when u can afford it. Usually online extended warranties are cheaper than the type offered by places like Comet etc.
I know u've had a bad time with your Beko.., but I've never had to use a warranty (when I first left uni and felt plush working, replaced all my knackered white goods with new stuff, with extended warranties and didn't use one of them).., and well, if I do one day.., I've saved enough money by not buying extended warranties to make a one off repair the cheaper option.
If you buy a more reliable make.., u shouldn't need to (as you are trying to do).0
