Natwest & New Look Store Card PPI

Hi
I took out a loan with Natwest in 2005 and it was settled in 2009. There must have been PPI on this and I actually believe I requested the PPI at the time. However, at the time I took this out, I was not in permanent employment. I was working full time but could have been let go at any point with one weeks notice. I doubt that the PPI would have paid out. Am I right in thinking this or am I just chancing my arm????
Also, I had a new look store card. Wrote to GE Capital money but they have 'no record' of me. Has anyone any suggestions of were I take it from here??
Thanks in advance

That means you cannot argue that you didn't know about it.However, at the time I took this out, I was not in permanent employment. I was working full time but could have been let go at any point with one weeks notice. I doubt that the PPI would have paid out.
Two problems with this.
First is whether you actually told NatWest of your employment situation. If not, it is not then you may have mispurchased the policy but it was not missold.
Second is that it may have paid out anyway. In particular, an employer simply stipulating that a contract of employment is temporary does not make it so. How long had you worked for them? Also, I had a new look store card. Wrote to GE Capital money but they have 'no record' of me.
How long ago did you take it out and how long ago did you repay it?
They will not simply hold data about you for ever - the Data Protection Act requires them to destroy it if they have no reason to suppose they will need it again.0
