Thanks to someones else's brillant post, I have decided to do a Valentines hamper/basket for my OH. But I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of what I could use as the actual hamper/basket that was a bit different?

I don't know if your OH (or you
) are into baths, but there was a good idea I've seen at Lush!
It's basically a big bath room shaped like a heart - it has other products in, but you could make your own - I've seen several "recipes" on here and the OS board........
Unfortunately it's not on their website yet, so I can't show you (I think it's a "special edition" they only bring out around valentines.......)
Otherwise, do you have any boxes left from Christmas? Heart shaped chocolate boxes or something?
The only other ideas I have are for dressing an existing box up, e.g cellophane, rose / flower petals, wrapping paper etc.......sorry!
HTH!

How about going the other way and putting some really romantic stuff into something really ordinary, like a black builders bucket. B & Q do them in orange as well, they also have some bright pink and yellow type pvc rubble bags with handles they can be reused.CUT OFF DATE FOR XMAS 2008 1st NOVPB £17.87, Ipoints 3907, QUIDCO £217.94,SHOP&SCAN 1950, LITESPEED 1265,PINECONE £8,BOOTS £18.62, IPSOS 1190, VALUED OPINIONS £19.25,MISC SURVEYS CLICK THROUGH ACCS ETC £23,0

if you are wrapping a present I bought from WHSmith cellotape that had red lips and hearts inside it so when the pressie was wrapped you could see it covered with these lips!! Silly fun xxx
Edit- I also put in the hamper fabric red roses petals that I got from boots in the Jan sales, they smelt of roses and came in a see-through plastic container and came in handy to scatter on the table, inside the hamper, on the bed etc0
