Has anyone had trouble with Black Horse?

Hi All
I recently helped DH to fill out the form to claim back PPI from Black Horse.
They wrote back to say they rejected the claim, basically hinging the fact that DH signed a form whilst in their office to say he needed PPI.
I'm going to write back to them to say he's not happy with their decision, especially since he didn't even realise he'd taken PPI, at one point he was off sick and paid the loan from co sick pay. He did get round to putting a claim in 5 months after the event but he wasn't sure he would get anything due to not knowing if he did have the product, etc.
I don't expect he would get much back tbh but I find it annoying that they aren't even offering to remove the PPI.
They're adamant that he signed a form when he applied for the loan, however does anyone know if the form asks will you get co sick pay if ill, or can you pay the loan by other means? They say he was sent paperwork but I've never seen it. I think I'll ask them for a copy of the form so I can see for myself. He did say the person was in and out of the room and got him a bit confused, but this isn't hard to do lol.
Has anyone else found them to be really awkward? and do they back down or make you go to the FOS?

Just remembered something else, my DH had said that he had taken the loan out over 48 months, it wasn't until he received a statement some time after that he realised it was over 60 months so I don't think the person he saw explained all of the figures fully.
I will write to ask BH to explain this as well since they insist that all of their sales people are so expertly trained
I will try to update when I hear anything.Karma - the consequences of ones acts."It's OK to falter otherwise how will you know what success feels like?"1 debt v 100 days £20000 -
Hi there, write back to them and tell them what you have posted here, about not claiming the first time as your hubby did not know it was on there ,if you have proof of this, wage slips maybe? then send copies of those, put you are not happy and will be taking this to FOS if they dont look at this again.0

Thanks Amersall re payslips, I hadn't thought of that. He was off work for 4.5 months and paid his loan no problem.
The whole tone of their reply was BH this, BH that, BH the other. BS more like lol.Karma - the consequences of ones acts."It's OK to falter otherwise how will you know what success feels like?"1 debt v 100 days £20000 -
OK I have written a letter for DH.
Upon looking at other sites it seem BH are telling customers they are refusing their claims and that their staff are fully trained etc.
I have been a bit cheeky in my letter and said that I would like to know if the advisor in my DH's case received commission for selling PPI policies, I went onto say that apart from the FOS DH would also consider court action and this would be a question put forward to the Judge. I don't expect I'll get a credible reply but it's worth asking just to have a bit of fun with themKarma - the consequences of ones acts."It's OK to falter otherwise how will you know what success feels like?"1 debt v 100 days £20000
