Selling homemade skin care products

Hi,
I've started making homemade akin care products and they are proving a hit with f+f and have started to get some interest from independent local retails.
I have the branding spot on, but need to research more about the certification side of things.
I know they need to be chemically certified, which can cost from £30 a product, is there anything else I need to research more into?
I think I have a pretty unique brand (think innocent smoothies - i work in advertising) and product range, with the wider target Market defined (for when Boots stock us!) so please constructive criticism only!
Thanks MSErs!

Remember to check the CAP guidelines for efficacy claims.
For instance - 'Makes you look 5 years younger' is an absolute claim that you certainly don't have robust (double-blind, signinficant trial size, robust methodology, etc) evidence to claim. However '83% of users who expressed an opinion after trying the cream for a month said they felt it made their skin feel younger by an average of 5 years (based on a survey of 120 women aged 45-65 yrs old)' is probably going to be just fine.
