Fraud on my bank account again! advice

My dh has had fraud on his santander account again, odd £20 here and there and £100 was taken out, at first he didnt notice the odd £20's but he noticed the last £100 as it was the day before payday. Phone santander - they froze account, turned out it was fraud - he ws suppose to have to go into branch to pick up bank statements when they phoned him but they never did. Statements carried on through the post, no fraud certificate - we thought everything was ok. (This all happened in may). Yesterday dh got paid, went to cash machine & they have took every last penny inc od! Phoned bank, they confirmed the money had been spent on a car at a different part of the uk to us (exactly same area as last time).

The mr on the phone told dh he put the money bank into the account - gr8 dh though, BUT he cant withdraw anything as his account is frozen. Last time to get money dh had to go into branch with photo id, what do we do now? or is it a case of tough?
