I sometimes refill at raves, because they charge £3 a bottle at raves. But feel sick after as it usually go's warm while dancin.

Yet again this thread saved me a few ££'2 today.
I hadn't made lunch for today when I got up and considered the cafe. Then I remembered that I've only a few pounds left for the week - and I'd have to report on here - so quickly 'found' something for lunch (I was convinced I had nothing until this point)
Break time I did have a cup of tea 70p and 2 biccies 20p, but resisted another tea at lunch time & made do with just my quinoa salad. So, only a 90p spend for me today. Quite pleased as I probably would normally spend more. Thanks all,
    Kaz
PS re my dilema about tchibo purchase - I've decided it shouldn't come out of groceries anyway. Haven't quite worked out where yet though, lol.
    January '06 Grocery Challenge (4th - 31st) £320.
    Week 1 - £73.99 Week 2 £5.10 (so far :p )
Someone burst my bubble and I lost the plot so no idea what I spent now... :(I will try to work it out.
    Other Jan :- Petrol £20.41, Clothes £8.50, House £3.

Can they be sterilised with baby bottle sterilising tablets?
I generally refill no more than twice and never refill in hot weather.

I dont want to spoil the fun but ive had my bottle for two years:eek: BUT I wash it every night in hot soapy water and use salt and a bottle brush (which is also cleaned regularly) to get right to the bottom. I can honestly say ive never had a bad tummy and if you consider the water sold in bottles can have a sellby date of two years, i reckon mines cleaner and fresher!

I spent a fair bit today.....

£55 on Tesco's shopping, although should go quite a long way as I'm going to try some recipes from the OS board - for once the only frozen stuff I bought was some oven chips and nuggets for when son's have 3 friends round on Sunday. Also am going to start taking lunch to work so bought bits for that, all pretty cheap (pitta bread, humous, cheap tuna, some fruit) and reckon I've got about 7 days worth, so that's a £14 saving on my usual £2 per day at work.

£17.98 on 2 pairs of school shoes for the kids, could no longer bear their cold wet feet coming in from school. Went to cheap shop for first time as the usual Clarks shoes (@£25 a pair) are only lasting them a couple of months.

£14.99 - Hmm, a bit of an impulse buy - have been wanting to try a George Forman Grill for a while and they were reduced from £39.99 to £19.99 in Tesco, and then I used £5 clubcard vouchers that I forgot to use in the Christmas shop.

    58p in Wilko's - on Stardrops!

    Hi all

I thought I'd have a no spend day today - and then remembered we needed milk. Still, that's ALL I bought - no chocolate or other temptations, so just 69p for me.
