  • Another £5.99 from ebay. I'm going to reach my monthly target before we're halfway through the month I think lol! Maybe I should have aimed higher.

Does anyone know how regularly ebay have free listings days? Or is it just random?

it's random. But they were quite frequent over the summer, not sure how frequent they will be with the X word approaching.

Thankyou, you're a fountain of knowledge on this thread! :)
Fingers crossed they have quite a few. It seems pointless listing loads of 99p things, every little helps though I suppose.

someone mentioned in the last thread by listing 99p items x 100 x 12 months, take off ebay and paypal fees, you could make xx.xx amount a year. think it was approximately £200. Doesn't sound much but when you don't have that money and are desperate for it, every little helps.

Thanks Greyhound Angel, it is tomorrow - Sunday. DH is going to have DS while I go and do it. It is quite strange as I work in an industry where we have people doing the same exam as me, and they all took theirs recently. Only a small percentage passed and that is with me.....

Bah, :o That's what happens when you read things too quickly and you're tired :rotfl:

The good side ... is that I'm still in time then to say GOOD LUCK !! :D

I think that is also a very good reason to leave updating my diary with a fair size update until tomorrow morning - once I've slept :o

  • W_R - what type of place do you take your textiles to for cash recycling ? I've been looking for something similar but not having much luck (think I may just be overlooking the obvious !!)

Hi there - sorry for the delay in replying but I have been sorting stuff out for Gumt**e tonight. The link below takes you to the website of the place we use - the group seems to be Scottish based but there might be something similar near you - I don't know where you are!!

Hope this helps - good hunting!

We have a company set up locally. You take the clothing to them in bags, they check it, it has to be in good condition, they weigh it and pay something like 30p a kilo and they get whatever the rate is.
  • yay another £4.21 from ebay :)

Hey all, can't believe how late in the month it is already but have been on holiday so hoping my tardiness will be forgiven!
Am in for my usual £5 please.

Already got £65 on the total this month, £50 cheque and £15 vouchers from toluna (with another £30 to chase from last year!)
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Sounds the same - we took clothes that we had tried to sell at a couple of car boots, and some surplus bedding. I think what they can't sell, they pulp and recycle that way. Seems like a good idea to me - better than going to landfill and it clears space in the garage. Who knows, maybe one day we'll get the car in there!:D
