I had loads of freebies today - samples of food and a nice jute shopping bag with recipe cards in - but I can't in good conscience add them to my total here because I'd only just had my lunch so eating more was sheer gluttony, and I need another bag like I need a hole in the head.the_mollusk wrote: »finally started listing stuff on ebay after finding the whole "place listing" thing irrationally terrifying and putting it off for about a week... but i've just checked and i already have one little bid on one item, yaaayyy!!! at least i'll make 99p this month if nothing else! :P
I need to just take the plunge and do it too. No idea why I'm so nervous about it - just a bit convinced that I'll muck something basic up and get horrible feedback :rotfl:. Anyway, it can't be that bloomin hard, can it? So I'm going to get on with it this weekend too. No way I'm meeting this target otherwise!0 -

Oooo, can I join in this please. I'm going to aim for 15 things. I've been listing loads of stuff today, which has a starting price of .99 or less. But tomorrow, I'm pulling out the big guns. I'm only around tomorrow, so I'll need to list everything then.
I'm getting a bit addicted to ebay, even downloading the app onto my phone so I can constantly check up on my sales!
Good luck to all this weekend!October make £10/day currently £11.020 -
didn't do too well yesterday, but got asda price guarantee back which is £1.16 - printed out twice - one for asda, one for tesco
- so i'm counting that as £2.32 profit
going to raid the loft at the weekend and ebay everything i can find! that should bring in some money, plus i have some current auctions ending on sunday - and some are going to sell
it's not as easy as it looks this saving money thing! lol0 -
Bit late but can i play please. Just £5 per day to startCath x

Go on and just do it!! its really not that hard honestly
The main things to think about to prevent negative feedback are:
make sure you describe any problems clearly - if its got a hole, a mark, a scratch etc just say so and provide a pic if you can of the problem area. Mainly people have an issue if these things are hidden by the seller.
Contact your buyer asap to say when you are posting something and post it as quick as you can after the payment has been received.
Make sure it is packaged well - esp if breakable.
check your postage rate is not too far off the mark - you will get a comment if its much higher than cost price and if much less it can be a waste of time for you to sell. My advice on this is to weigh and measure item & check the cost at royalmail.com pricefinder - http://sg.royalmail.com/portal/rm/PriceFinder?catId=23500532&gear=pricingcalc&campaignid=pricefinder_redirect
please note you have to send item by recorded delivery to be eligible for paypal protection as a seller!! you can also be covered by getting a proof of posting at the post office though as you can claim costs with this if item gets lost in the post.
Other than that there is really nothing much to worry about - if you are unsure about anything the ebay forum is a very good place for info or i am sure any ebayers on here will be happy to help
Oh and one other bit of advice - try not to look around ebay too much cos there is always something that looks like an unmissable bargain :rotfl:Debt at Aug 2010 (LBM) £21,908.86, Debt Freeeeee Date 4th Nov 2013 :j:j:j Massive Thanks to the £10 per day thread :A Next goals:Savings £1203.16/£10,000******Mortgage to Zero: £52,579.46 to go
