  • I've been doing a few bits so am waiting for some money to come my way:

    £7.71 from TCB
    £8 MS
    £35 gambling win
    £1 scratchcard win
£21.48 TCB (I've been waiting for ages for this so it was a nice little surprise!)

So when all that little lot hits my account I'll update my signature. My "extras" account is now in excess of £500 so I will pay this off my mortgage and start on the next £500.

No luck on ebay yet though :o

  • Put lots of lovely car pieces on eBay, at a minimum I should make £70 but I've got 10 people watching one of the items and it doesn't end till Saturday so I think I should get way above what I've put the reserve as.

Apart from that, no extra earnings to report.

Just a question though, if I make £50 for example, and then I buy something I wouldn't normally have bought if i didn't have that money, does the total I've made come back down as I don't have it in my hand at the end of the month? Or does it still count because I've got money that I wouldn't normally had had?

Since i'm doing all this ebaying at the mo i'm going to try and find a simple way to work out profits if i can - my head and maths just don't go well together :rotfl: and i'm tired of it taking so long to count up!

Right i'm away to read my mag and plan some pressies :)

    Hey Everyone,

I managed to get 4 boxes of honey shreddies today :) (£4). Also used a £4 off a £20 spend sainsburys voucher (at Tesco :o - I feel really bad for Sainsbury's when I do that - it feels like I'm stabbing them in the back or something! :rotfl:). I have 80p from a medicine that I regularly have to buy for DS2, it was on offer today - first time I've ever seen it on offer! Will have to stock up next week. Ooh, and while I'm at it, 20p from my Mum - I bought something for her at Tesco and she didn't have the right change for me so let me off with it, lol.

I also got a new lidded wok using those Tesco Designer Cookware voucher things... so that's £50 to add :rotfl::p. Seriously, there is no way on earth that I would have paid full price for it (£70?!?!?), so I'm not really going to add it :p. Even £20 is more than I'd usually pay, but I've just thrown away yet another cheapy, crappy wok that didn't last long, so I'm hoping that this one will work out cheaper in the long run as it should last a very long time.

I then bought another little pressie for DS2's birthday so have a discount from that (£1.60). I WILL stop buying now as he’ll only be 1 so doesn’t even know what a birthday is yet!

Fairy Clicks, I do exactly the same thing. I can go for ages without shopping, but once I start, it's a real struggle to stop!!! I now have around £20 until friday though, so that should stop me - for now, lol!

Alexman - Yes, it still counts as it's money that you wouldn't otherwise have had.

    (£144.88/£300)

Mine too! Did you know he has a Boots advantage card, a co-op card, a tesco card..... a tesco.com account....

he actually said to me he doesn't mind me opening stuff in his name, he just doesn't want the emails and can I open a different email account for all the junk that goes into it!

    :wall:D'oh  ....................
Now why didn't I think of that  :o

That's just about right to round off my day today :( I was looking forward to a nice positive diary update and then yakety yak instead of making money - I've potentially lost money  Think I might leave the update till after I've done dinner ... might be in a more reasonable mind set

<<<<<<<<<<< :grouphug:HUGS:grouphug: >>>>>>>>>>>> to those who need them (sorry it's the dodgy one ...)

Glad everyone seems to be moving forwards with their targets still, we've still a few days to go .. so no giving up ... else Aesop & Co will be doing the rounds to us with a large boot & baseball bat ... they are very scarey  :rotfl:

  • On another positive note, i had a letter from my solicitor today. I was in a car crash in May. At the time i'd just recovered from a slipped disc, obviously the crash caused it to happen again so i put a claim in. I didn't want to, but everyone was telling me i should so i went for it. Anyway, a couple of months down the line and i got a letter offering me £2718. £2200 for the injury, £500 for my husband for care (he had to take some time off work) and £18 travel expenses. Lol. I called up and accepted it and they said i should have the cheque within the next 4 weeks. I honestly can't believe it. This is gonna pay off the rest of my council tax arrears, a few other bills off and give the whole family a brilliant christmas! I haven't told anyone yet. I don't want to build my husbands hopes up in case it takes longer than 4 weeks. I've read of some people waiting for months. Fingers crossed i get it in time for christmas! :D

:j:j:j That's brill CP, I'm so pleased for you :j:j:j Good news at last, had a crap day (week!) as well (hugs Aesop) so was nice to read something good :j
