My OH has lately started being a bit more co-operative with survey sites that he's signed up to. He was saying that there were loads in his inbox, why wasn't I doing them!

I don't have enough time to do every one that I am sent sometimes, let alone his too.
So he said, oh well I suppose I can do some too, now we have 2 computers on the go.
So he usually does 2 an evening at the moment, and credit to him, he does check with me which he would prefer he did first when he has them from several sites. Think that as it's coming towards Christmas and we have another baby due at the end of the year, he realises that actually the vouchers will come in very handy. :)

Well, while mine has seen the light with regards to vouchers as in gift vouchers from surveys etc, he usually won't even come to the checkout with me when I have money off type coupons for the supermarket!!
Haven't got him that well trained yet!

  • Good Afternoon ev1 - Hows it all going?

I have to confess to being out spending today :o i just felt like i had done so well with the challenge i could give myself a wee treat. Although if i'm honest thats when i can start to go off the rails again with my spending.......does anyone else find that? its like once i crack the wallet open all sense flies out the window :o

There were some things i needed - i am tired of trying to live with 2 pairs of trousers that fit and all my tops turning into belly tops!! I also have no pj shorts that i can wear and if i wear my long ones i just boil. So i got myself a couple of tops from the charity shop and pj shorts and a pair of loungey trousers from tescos - while was there i saw an offer for £5 off clothing if spent £25 in store or £10 if spend £40 online - (i have some online codes for anyone that might be useful to ;) ) so i got my OH some loungey pants too cos he keeps complaining about being cold at night - i can't have anything too warm on the bed so poor soul is freezing while i boil!!! :rotfl:

I bought myself a wee knitting mag too which i haven't bought for about a year - but it has christmas gift ideas in it so i'm planning to start knitting/making pressies for peeps to save me some dosh that way.

So all in all i spent £32 on treats ( i was trying to still be careful which is progress for me) so i don't feel like i went overboard - knowing my habit of not stopping though i am now going to leave my cashcard at home me thinks and just have some cash for things i need.....

Ok, and so onto the earning part - i have sold another 6 items on ebay since yesterday :) so am pleased i did the bin items despite the listing fees. Since i'm doing all this ebaying at the mo i'm going to try and find a simple way to work out profits if i can - my head and maths just don't go well together :rotfl: and i'm tired of it taking so long to count up!

Right i'm away to read my mag and plan some pressies :)

Good luck for today all xxx

CEX are absolutely fine hun, only issues are if the disc is marked they deduct £1 per disc, and sometimes they don't trade for cash... but I haven't had this for a while.
You can also check prices online aswell :)

  • Update: £3 from some MP3 downloads for my sister, which I apparently had credit for, but sister let me keep the £3 :D

I'll be quiet for a few days soon as I need to pack for uni, and I don't know if I have internet in the house yet so I may not appear next week... good luck all anyway!

  • Logged into my spud shillings account and it finally jumper from 1035 to 2960!! :D £20 M&S voucher ordered which should come for next months challenge. Hopefully i'll be able to earn another one for christmas. Had to call tax credits last week to tell them about the overtime i've started doing (it pushes me over the 16 hours). Logged onto my online banking today and i have a payment of £235 from them. Called tax credits and they said it was a provisional payment for my new calculations and i would still get my usual payment on monday. Also, because i've already done the overtime for 4 weeks now it has backdated working tax credit on (i can't work out the whole tax credit system to be honest) so i'm adding this to my total because its money i wouldn't normally have. To be honest, it couldn't have come at a better time as its my sons 5th birthday on monday. I only had £10 to get him a gift, now it means i can treat him and take him out on Sunday.

On another positive note, i had a letter from my solicitor today. I was in a car crash in May. At the time i'd just recovered from a slipped disc, obviously the crash caused it to happen again so i put a claim in. I didn't want to, but everyone was telling me i should so i went for it. Anyway, a couple of months down the line and i got a letter offering me £2718. £2200 for the injury, £500 for my husband for care (he had to take some time off work) and £18 travel expenses. Lol. I called up and accepted it and they said i should have the cheque within the next 4 weeks. I honestly can't believe it. This is gonna pay off the rest of my council tax arrears, a few other bills off and give the whole family a brilliant christmas! I haven't told anyone yet. I don't want to build my husbands hopes up in case it takes longer than 4 weeks. I've read of some people waiting for months. Fingers crossed i get it in time for christmas!

So anyway, this smashes me well over target (the text credit payment, not the cheque which i am not including even when it comes, lol). I never thought i would do it this month! I'm not gonna stop though. Gonna keep up with the surveys. Hunt some stuff out for ebay and keep looking for pennys on the floor!

Off to updat my siggy! :D

Wow Counting Pennies - definitely lots of pennies to count there. And so pleased for you that it's such good timing.
Bet you're glad you put in the claim at the time then after all.

Makes me want to get my !!!!! in gear trying to start a PPI claim which I've put off or not got around to, and keep thinking Oh can I really be bothered. But things like this happening make me think what have we got to lose.
