SGE Loans

I tried to apply for a loan through SGE loans 10 days ago. I went to go and get my wages out this morning and found 79.99 had Bern taken from my account. I rang the bank and they told me it was from this company. I rang the company and asked what it was for and they said it was for the premium service. I remember them badgering me about a premium service and I kept saying I was not interested. I was never even told about the 79.99 but I still wasn't interested. I am fuming as when I rang they kept saying you must have agreed I know I didn't as the lad I spoke to said he would send me the info on it and then I could look through to see if I wanted it. I certainly never ever said I wanted it. They have said they cannot refund until I request the recording which I have done via email. Thiscompany are a joke and con artists and as far as I am aware I will take this as far as possible even to the police as this is theft! I am so annoyed as that money was for my 3yr old babys Halloween and Xmas stuff and I have been counting on it. I now feel like my baby boy has been let down

I applied for a loan and these people offered what I wanted. Unfortunately they charged my 79.99 which I knew nothing of, and I ended up with a payday loan instead of the loan I wanted which has now put me in the position of constantly taking payday loans to cover myself. These people wont even reply to my emails to get my 79.99 even though they said my refund had been approved and I am still waiting for it. They are a scam, they do not offer what they say they do, they do not give you the loan you want, they just take your money and leave you high and dry. oh yes, and then you get a phone call from a gas and electric company asking when it is convenient to have your gas and electric transferred to them!! I cannot do this as I rent my home from someone else (which I informed them of) but they tried to transfer it anyway. I want my 79.99 back from these people are they do not offer what they say and they take money without authorisation.0

Does it not say in the T&C's how to get a refund ?
Why did you hand you bank details over to them ?0 -

Reading the website and the T's and C's you got exactly what you signed up for, for all the hype on the website it is pretty clear what they do and are a broker, they offer you the loan they say is best for you, be that high interest, payday log book etc... by giving over your bank card details you gave them carte blanche to charge you between 9.99 and 79.99, you have/had days to cancel, probably you need to do this by letter rather than email.
If it seems to good to be true, it probably is... these broker companies prey on the desperate to hear what they want they want to hear, ie you can borrow money that no sensible lender will lend you, its not illegal or a scam, no more than PPI reclaim companies, Personal injury ambulance chasers etc, it's distasteful to a lot of people.every time I manage to get one more breath into this body, I will sing a song of thanks to you my brothers, my sisters, my friends, may your sleep be peaceful, and angels sing sweetly in your ears.0 -

SGE Loans is a loan broker. If they brokered a loan for you (got you a loan) they they done their job and are, arguably, entitled to their fee.
They are quite upfront about it:
"SGE Loans is a UK broker of loans for any purpose"
"All data submitted is used in accordance with our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy:"We act as a loan and finance broker. By asking Us to provide You with services You
authorise Us to act on Your behalf.
[...]
A broker fee is charged for the provision of Our Service...

After making an application with sge and got a call back soon after from a very friendly lad, who was very pleasant and took a little bit of the boredom out of applying for a loan, I got the loan I applied for plus this premium service, I've seen you all complaining about it but have you actually used any of it? I've saved 130 pounds from an initial 39.99 payment. You even get a pre paid card thing and so far so good my credit rating has boosted quite a bit. They also switched my energy supplier for me aswell I was thinking about doing as British gas are very expensive these days. so is it just me that's happy?0

Their Ts and Cs also state they if all they offer you is a payday loan they do not charge (Section 3). All I got was a payday loan. also it does not state in their Ts and Cs that they can give your bank details to other companies, which they did with mine. A company tried to set up a direct debit on my bank account which luckily I managed to cancel. So they are entitled to take what they want when they want and give anyone your bank details??? I did not get what I asked for just a scam!!! It is in the hands of the FOS and the Fraud Department of my bank.
Needless to say they are ignoring my emails now as well.0
