Getting there!!I'm out of the house for a few days now so unlikely that anything else will get done but I am very pleased with what we've achieved so far!!! :T
So, the stuff in red is still outstanding - I've decided that I will break my frog list into short, medium and long term goals. Mainly because some of the garden stuff will take months and seeing them constantly on a frog list where things around them are being struck off is depressing me!! :rotfl:
So, the new Frog List:
Short Term Frogs
Spot clean carpets
Replace Bathroom light pull
Clear rubbish from garden into sacks - Froglet
Plant seeds for veg - Froglet
Medium Term
Do a test removal on hall tiles - Frog
Replace hall tiles if test goes okay! - Big Frog
Clear out greenhouse - Frog
Clean all reusable pots - Frog
Replace greenhouse glass - Froglet
Dig out plants to keep and put into pots - Enormous Frog
Long Term
Dig over border - Godzilla size Frog
I think that this makes it easier to see where I am making progress and I will break down the bigger jobs into smaller frogs as I start to tackle them1 -
Hello squirrelgirl
I think you are going really well.
Is it worth breaking your godzilla frog and the other big gRden ones into smaller frogs. Such as from wall to first fence post or something that means you can ‘mark’ a smaller area. I do that with my garden projects and they seem to be more motivating as well.
Hope you are still treating yourself when you complete your frogs
S x£400,000 starting Jan 2020 current end date Aug 2041 I would love the end date to be 2027 but will aim first for 2037.
1% target £4000 so far £20 paid2 -
We will be moving late next year, so we have a lot to do in readiness. We've already made a start but it's been slow going. So with that in mind here is my FROGS and TADPOLES list.
Continue with loft clearance.
3 cleared and tidied, 1 section left to do.
Sort and dispose of leftover surplus to chazzers/ebay/local fb pages.
Clean and tidy loft bedrooms (after lofts are cleared)
Tidy and clear out rubbish from bureau
Bookcase 1 - sort books and offer excess to friends/book club and chazzers
Same for Bookcase 2
Paint small bedroom, replace worn carpet
Check furniture in each room and sort excess for charity/sale (we have quite a lot of furniture which has been acquired from deceased relatives and some we were "storing" for family who eventually decided they didn't want the items!)
Scrub and sweep side path.
Dig over borders in garden when it dries out.
This list is just for starters. There will be more......

Some progress made on my list. We've been working quite hard to get it done while the weather is so awful. I've added a few more now we are getting some tasks completed. So far:Continue with loft clearance.

It's been a while!! 🙈
Lots of things going on but I'm gradually getting through! 😉
Short Term Frogs
Spot clean carpets
Replace Bathroom light pull
Clear rubbish from garden into sacks - Froglet - done
Plant seeds for veg - Froglet
Medium Term
Do a test removal on hall tiles - Frog
Replace hall tiles if test goes okay! - Big Frog
Clear out greenhouse - Frog - pretty much done
Clean all reusable pots - Frog
Replace greenhouse glass - Froglet
Dig out plants to keep and put into pots - Enormous Frog
Long Term
Dig over border - Godzilla size Frog
Still loads of garden stuff to do but it will be months of work so I'm okay with that!
We have bought the light switch for the bathroom so hopefully that will go in at the weekend - life has got in the way a lot recently but I'm determined to keep going 😉1 -
Quick update as it's been ages! 🙈
Not a lot more has happened really - despite having the time, I have lacked motivation! However, many of the enormous frogs will be completed soon as I have employed a gardener!! The digging out of the plants, sorting the border and then building raised veg beds will be completed by him - I'm also going to get him to sort the rest of the garden throughout the year so all of the pressure is off as far as outside is concerned 🙌
This week I will plant the seeds (didn't want to do that until I knew I'd have somewhere to put them 😉) and sort/clean all the reusable pots as well as finishing off the cleaning up of the greenhouse - we can't get the glass sorted yet but we will improvise until we can.
I also want to add a couple of things to my list- I need to clean out my wardrobe (not clothing - just all the paperwork etc that I stuffed in there while going through a court case against Everest) and get my food cupboards in order as I had a large delivery from Suma several weeks ago which I had given up on receiving so when it arrived I hadn't sorted the space! 🙈
Anyway, despite my lack of progress, now that I know that the garden is definitely getting sorted over the next few weeks I feel all motivated again - it's time to get my other jobs and self sorted now! 😁
Happy frog munching!!2 -
I saw the title of the thread and just had to ask. Why a FROG? Is it an acronym?1

I think it comes from the saying about tackling difficult jobs - ‘If you have to swallow a frog, do it first thing in the morning and get it over with’. I could be wrong!Life is mainly froth and bubble: two things stand like stone. Kindness in another’s trouble, courage in your own.0
