Hotel near Celtic Park in Glasgow?

Does anyone know of a more suitable hotel near Celtic Park than the Holiday Inn Express at Riverside?
Any nearby restaurant recommendations also?
Is the Scottish Football museum at Hampden worth the trip out once we're in Glasgow?
Many thanks:D

There is nothing right next to Celtic Park but a good few in and around George Square which is only about 2 miles away. Try https://www.hotels.com with Celtic Park as your landmark.

Parkhead where Celtic Park is is not the best of areas. Better staying in city centre + getting bus or taxi.

To answer your question anything City Centre will do, there's a PI south of the Clyde which should be near enough on the main road to Parkhead down the London Road, the next nearest would be George Square which is just down the Gallowgate, neither will take long to get you there (20-30 minutes walk) and should be reasonable, you will pay for the room though given it's central glasgow.

Don't know about the museum though to be honest.

You do not want to stay near Parkhead  not as tourist anyway :P

As others have said City centre is close enough, you can walk (not exactly scenic) or there are loads of buses that go along that way. My dad went to the Hampden experience and really enjoyed it :) so probably a good day out if you're interested in all things football.
The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.
