Subject: Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy UK Premiere
Answer: Sailor (Please thank all the wonderful posters below. :T :T :T)

Your goal is to crack the 6 letter code word over three weeks:

• We will provide two clues per week, which will give you 2 letters of the code word
• Each clue will lead you to a film on our website
• Take the star rating of that film...
• Complete the sum, and you’ll have the letter you need

Clue Number 1: police, rat, Nicholson, double
• Sum: Take the star rating and times by 5, then minus 1

Clue Number 2: Hardy, incarcerated, Charles, moustache
• Sum: Take the star rating and minus 2

    - hmm.. maybe first one could be the Departed; Jack Nicholson, an informer (rat), double - 'double life' undercover etc....?

    - maybe second could be 'Bronson" , film with actor called Tom Hardy, about inmate "Charles Bronson" with handlebar moustache?

    Next 2 clues:

Clue Number 3: Gotham, Gordon, antidote, begins (I think this is Batman Begins ?)
    • Sum: Take the star rating, times by 2 and then add 2

Clue Number 4: Hitchcock, Cary, cropduster scene, identity (North By Northwest?)
    • Sum: Take the star rating, times by 3

    1. Departed = 4* number = 19, letter = S
    2. Bronson = 3* number = 1, letter = A
    3. Batman Begins = 3.5* number = 9, letter = I
    4. N by NW = 4* number = 12, letter = L

I predict that the final clues will give 15 (O) and 18 (R) and the codeword will be SAILOR (which fits in with Tinker, Tailor, Soldier....) but I would wait for the clues to confirm before entering.

    Last 2 clues:

Clue Number 5: Man, Colin, Los Angeles, Ford (A Single Man? star rating is 3.5, times 4 then add 1 = 15 = Letter O)
    • Sum: Take the star rating, times by 4 and then add 1

Clue Number 6: London, Caine, novel, IPCRESS (Is "Ipcress File" too obvious? star rating is 3.5, times 6 then minus 3 = 18 = Letter R)
    • Sum: Take the star rating, times by 6 and then minus 3

    So, I'm going with SAILOR - Thanks One-Eye !!
