I think I will take some of the Christmas hampers as inspiration for a luxurious Valentines day hamper and maybe line a basket with red tissue paper etc. Lucky for me Valentines day falls on my husbands day off so I could probably organise a night out - or a night in
.
Thanks for the replies.0 -
I have this year for my Husband A heart shaped box and I am putting in a poem ( internet) made into a scroll, A small photo frame and I am putting our very first photo together in it ( e-bay) i have to scan and figure out how to re-size it. Some heart shaped chocolates and some promises ( little heart shaped pieces of paper with things like I promise to give you a head and shoulder massgae , I promise to give you a back rub or anything saucy if you wanted to) and some hear shaped chocolates ( am looking for those at the mo) and I have a Betty Boop coaster with Betty in a red dress blowing kisses ( e-bay), also an invitation to a romantic evening at home, candle light, good food, nice music and a bottle of wine, I have red shredded paper and lip shaped confetti to put in. I think he will think it is cute.

Boots have 75% off lots of things today. There is a breakfast set with a small bottle of bubbly for £5 that would be nice for a romantic breakfast in bed......0

Romance and Valentines... Well you could go spend loads on commercial stuff (if you do make sure you check if you can get cash back on quidco or pigsback points etc
) or you could do it virtually free
If you have Tesco vouchers then you could swap some for 4 times their face value in vouchers for Goldsmith or even an experience day if any of the offers on match any interests your OH might have
There are plenty of good offers in Tesco for example on sparkly wines that you can make bucksfizz for breakfast and dress up the usual breakfast but putting on a tray with a single flower and dressing it up a little (helps if you dress up too - be warned breakfast might get cold) like if you do scrambled eggs on toast then try to shape the eggs into heart shapes
Instead of a costly card why not take advantage of having a PC or if you write very nicely do it by hand - and either write your own poetry or even just a letter telling him how much you love him and whyDO it on a really nice letter paper and spray a little of your perfume for that extra touch
VOUCHERS - for a massage, bath for two, foot rub, cooking his favourite dinner, naughty night in, get as naughty as you want - use your imagination and if you want inspiration include pictures from a kamasutra
Massage oil with a scent you both like (I'd just like to recommend ylang-ylangmmmmm)
Candles - either buy these in one of the hundreds of sales on OR use any you have around - no-one is going to ask if they are the ones you bought 4 weeks ago in tesco
Boots have some belgian chocolates at 75% off (even online) so down from £5 to about £1.75 or something.
I'll try to think of some moreI guess the main thing is to try and make sure things mean something to YOU and HIM
If you want then do a card and write things like "Bubbly - because everyday I wake up with you I feel like celebrating!" - "*insert CD title* - because it's "our" song and everytime I hear it I think of you" and so onDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

The best present you can give your partner for Valentine's day is yourself!!!
If you need some help with this, try a hamper full of toys to spice things up a bit!!!
http://www.lovesexyhampers.com might be worth a look!!!

i am making a hamper for my boyf as did ones for family memebers at xmas (thanks to this site!) and he loved it and wanted one himself! I got a celebrations tin (left from xmas) have wrapped it in red paper so all covered. I got a little cuddly bee (from asda £1) going to make some chocs (thanks to thread on here again! ) and put cashew nuts in some and chilli in the others and wrap for him. I got a mug in woolies today for £1 its red and heart shaped - the bee looks good sitting on the top of it! got a dvd in tescos he wanted for £3, also in tescos they got little cake already to make with water added -think were 40p (bargain!) going to put a few with love hearts on the top in it too (give the rest to my mates with a little home made card) have made his valentines card, also printed off some 'fun vouchers' for breakfast in bed etc - we are moving in together on 7th march so will be good for then!) ;o)
in tescos today they had crackers for valentines! single ones were 75p so got one of them (also got the couple one for our valentines dinner once we moved out) and they had biscuit cutters in hear shape for £1 also so going to make some 'bum busicuits'! going to try doin them in west ham colours!
Also i got some little verses off one of the other threads on here too which i have printed out on small bits card to put in the box too.
Going to be quite few chocs etc, but he loves all that sort of stuff-we set a £10 limit this year as we are moving in and there was nothing he wanted for £10 so he going to have lots little bits!
hope he likes them all though!
