We want to move out of our rented property in October so i just wanted to check that I'll be handing in my notice properly.
Our rent payment date is 24th of the month and we#ve just made our first payment after the end of our 6 month tenancy agreement (moved in in February). I believe we're now on a rolling contract as we haven't signed anything further.
Am i right that if i hand my notice in next week, I'll need to pay rent again in September as I'm a little too late for the month's notice and that I'm then paid up to move out any time up to 24th October?
Thanks for any assistance.

23rd October but it's close enough.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Beware of working it out from the rent due date. Work it out from the rental period. This is normally a month and starts on the day you took out the tenancy. Rent due dates normally coincide but sometimes don't. So if you moved in on the 24th, the rental period is 24th month <n>. to 23 of month <n+1>Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Having said that - how have you got on with your landlord? You're only a day or 5 late, would he be willing to let you go on 23/9? Talk to him ASAP.Life should be a little nuts; otherwise it's just a bunch of Thursdays strung together.0 -
