    you mean £166.67. £200 is the VAT on £1000

    thankyou all for your advice, i will let you know what happens next week. I dont mind paying my cheque but i cant afford to pay anymore money if they say i have to add vat.

    Whatever you do DO NOT pay by cheque, it is unsafe. Pay by paypal or even better a credit card if necessary and keep yourself protected.
