Chrysler Grand Voyager-lost keys
Hi, am hoping some knowledgeable person on here can give me some advice.
I have a 2001 Chrysler grand voyager which broke down last year and had to be towed home. It has been sat on drive ever since and now I cant find the keys
.
I have been told that I can get new keys and fob?, if I take it to a Chrysler garage where it can be reprogrammed but the car wouldnt start anyway cos it needs fixing and I cant get it fixed till I get some keys.
I was thinking about replacing the locks and was wondering whether a lock set with transponder from a 2002 chrysler voyager would fit as there is one on ebay at the moment.
Any advice anyone? Thanks in advance

is it
Item number: 170683914583
if it is they ask you to confirm ecu number on your car
this is for a good reason0 -
the ones in your link would not allow the car to start
it would still need the ecu cleaning if this is possible on this car so my link might still be the cheaper answer
you must confirm with seller though as i dont know chryslars
be careful:)0 -
Thanks for your advice, I really don't know what to do for the best. Maybe I should try and get a mobile autolocksmith out to see if they can cut a key so I can get the car roadworthy then see about getting a fob sorted.0

I'm not in the shop at the momment so I cant look this up but you may needs codes from the dealer. He will be able to tell you this.
The locksmith will be cheaper than the dealer ,plus you wont need a transporter to get it there.
You say the car wont start, it wont concern the locksmith because his computor will tell him when the key is programed
Example on prices
Fiesta lost keys. I made and programed 2 keys, I charged £120. Ford want £300+
Kia picanto, key had to come from the dealer. I charged £195. Kia charge would have been £240
Good Luck0 -
Thanks for your help ponsaloti. Could you tell me whether the battery would need to be charged up or isn't this relevent? Sorry if it seems a daft question.0

The locksmiths computor will want a fully charged battery but explain the condition of the car to him before he comes to you.
Most of us but not all carry a battery pack.0
