Thanks for starting the thread. Mine this week will be subject to moving around depending on what everyones doing and I haven't been through my cupboards properly yet:o
sunday we're out for dinner at the inlaws
monday-paella
tuesday-fried halloumi and greek salad
wednesday- lentil soup
Thurs-I'm out so will be cooking for OH & DD so maybe baked potatoes and beans
friday- DD out so Plaice fillets, new potatoes and side salad
saterday-DD on DofE for the weekend so undecided as yet.
Will be trying not to buy too much this week since it's a long month.
lunches will be meal portions and soup portions from freezer. breakfasts will be toast and toppings, yoghurts or cereal.Grocery challenge October: £228.28/£250.00 NSD 4 ( not completed)

Hi all,
Bit of an odd week, this week, both DS,s won,t be here till Friday, and not sure which days DD and the BF will grace us with there presence, so food wise it will be suck it and see, the basic plan is:-
Sun - Lamb Tagine ( was scrummy and half for the freezer)
Mon - Roasted veg and chicken breast (using up leftovers)
Tues - Scampi thats been in freezer for years (fingers crossed its ok)
Wed- Shepard,s pie
Thurs - A'Tinned' pie that we found in cupboard, but not enough to feed loads
Fri- The troops come home, so huge Chilli and Nachoes
Sat- Curry night - HM frozen with 'picky bits'
Need to be very good this month - just checked bank account and :eek::eek::eek:

A couple of meals from last week didn't happen so i've moved them on to this week.
Monday – homemade salmon fish fingers with wedges and peas
Tuesday - cottage pie with green beans
Wednesday – going to the cinema straight after work so will either grab something afterwards, or get something when I’m home
Thursday – going to my sisters
Friday – butternut squash risotto
Saturday - grilled asian ginger pork chops with rice/noodles
Sunday – toad in the hole with peas and onion gravyGrocery challenge - Nov: £52/£100

Trying to get back to some semblance of organisation before school starts next week
Monday: Chicken Casserole & jacket pots
Tuesday: Beef Cobbler
Wednesday: A mystery pasta dish
Thursday: Pork chops and savoury rice (might pinch freakyogres asian ginger recipe above)
Friday: Smoked Mackeral & cous cous
Saturday: Sausages & wedges
OH did shop ; bit heavy on the meat. Serves me right for letting him loose without a list of course.Getting there...slowly!
