Virgin Media Reduce Services

Hello all,

I have a contract with Virgin Media that is 10 months in but we are struggling to keep up with the costs. Its my own fault really I go suckered in to taking out all the highest packeges with an additional box. I don't want to cancel my contract but just reduce the amount that i am paying out. So what i am basically asking it am I able to removed some of the packages without incuring charges.

Thanks for any help.

Call retentions at VM. They are the only ones who can really advise what can be done whilst in contract.

How much is left on your initial contract?

Call 150 off your home phone (free) and then go to the option that you are thinking of leaving Virgin Media - this is the rententions team - explain to them what exactly is is you are facing, ask them what can be reduced and where - usually its 12 months contract length for TV and Internet, 18 months for Home Phone....

VM are not obliged to reduce your package, so be clear with them on your situation and your available money...

Have you managed to call Virgin?

We had the same situation around 4 years ago and they refused to budge at all. It was simply a case of tough. You agreed to the contract at £x over 18 months. Pay it and if you don't you'll default, etc...

    and that's exactly what happened!!
