I'm hoping to get myself one come December, or quite possibly wait 'till New Year for the 3 (hopefully).
I still need to justify it properly though
lol
I plan to use it for emails, spreadsheets, letter writing, movies, excess music & videos I don't want to leave behind.

Because then I'd either have a 19 inch laptop taking up space somewhere, or a melted laptop if I put it away in a bag. Either way, it will use power, so I'll end up with a drained laptop battery or a very hot power adaptor, and cause Windows to get very slow eventually (I'm assuming Windows 7 still has this problem, I haven't actually tested it by keeping the laptop in standby, but all other versions of Windows I've used have benefitted from being completely shut down every so often).thescouselander wrote: »The question is why are people waiting for their laptops to boot - why not just keep your laptop in standby?0 -
I think thescouselander meant hibernate, rather than standby. A hibernated laptop won't use any power, and will be quicker to start up again. Plus your applications are still open, just as they were before you hibernated it.0

On mine now. Love it. Makes browsing MSE much easier........ only downside is having to share with the OH!
