Anybody here had an unauthorised payment taken from their PayPal account for VPN services?
I've lodged a dispute but just wondered if it's a one-off or has my account been hacked.

Thanks Oliver14. Changed my security straight away and no malware or viruses detected.
Hadn't use PayPal for months but bought some dog food a couple of days before so it can't be just coincidence.0 -

Logged into paypal or opened an email?I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

I logged into my PayPal account to pay for my dog food. I didn't open any emails.0

I've received a couple of emails (supposedly) from PayPal this morning.
The first says that my dispute has been resolved and the money will be credited back to my credit card, the other that my account has been restricted and tells me to log in and change my password and security questions.
When I try to log in to my account it asks me for my full credit card number. I'm a bit wary, it sounds really dodgy to me.
Does anyone know if this is normal practice for PayPal?0 -
Assuming the email was directed personally to you and you logged in in the normal way then it should be safe. Why not ask on the Ebay forum to make absolutely sure.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
