Shop has taken money but not processed order

Hi, i won an offer to get the sylvanian families larchwood house for £34.99 instead of £70 at the entertainer. I put in my card details and it said there was a problem, checked my account and they have taken the money but in the my account section it shows nothing. Will ring in the morning but i don't have the funds to order another and the deal ends Monday so looks like i will lose out on the offer and be £34.99 down. Does anyone know what would happen to the money and if they might honor the deal?

The amount is pending/ held/ authorised against your account balance (reducing your available balance) - so nothing has been debited. Depending on your bank, an authorisation will normally drop off automatically within 7 days - unless the merchant (the company selling the goods) debits your account.

Something has clearly gone wrong between the merchant's bank and your bank. If you're still wanting the goods, contact the merchant, as your bank are unlikely to remove an authorisation without the express permission of the merchant. I honestly can't tell you whether or not the merchant would honour the deal - appeal to their better nature by highlighting the amount did authorise before the deal expired.

Thanks for the reply. Will ring in the morning. Hoping they will honor the deal once the funds go back into my account, if not will send a letter as was for my daughters birthday so bit unhappy about it. Don't have the funds to just re order it until goes back in so will see.
