Capital one PPI

Hi all,

have just joined the forum and was looking for some advice. I have a capital one credit card, which I have had since 2004. I've had the PPI insurance on it. Now I've just lost my job. I was wondering whether anyone had any advice on whether this covers me for unemployment, how it works etc and general advice in getting the company to play ball whilst I try and get myself sorted within another job. I know I can call them, but I just wondered whether any of you kind people out there had any advice so I can fight my corner.

Thanks in advance.

    Hi there & welcome.

    Sorry about your job loss.
I assume it would also cover for unemployment, if you ring the claims department they will be able to confirm, if they do not pay out, as this will also depend in your own circumstances, then maybe you could then make a reclaim as it may be worthless to you otherwise, good luck and I'm sure someone will post up with their own views on this.

It sounds like you probably have a valid claim on the policy, so make it. That is what insurance is for.

Thanks for the replies and sorry for replying so late. Just to let anyone know who does have a Capital One card and wants to make a claim, I was advised I'd need to contact AXA who were the insurance underwriters. They would send a form, which I would fill in and send back. They would judge whether I had a valid claim and reason for wanting help with repayments. However in the meantime I would need to continue to make payments until a decision is made. So hope that helps a little bit someone who may be in a similar situation :)
