    Good idea. Also think of any sites like paypal or amazon where you might have the card details saved. Delete them so you won't be tempted to use them.

    Also, don't keep the bits of card to do a jigsaw when you need to use it online/over the phone.

    Congratulations to all credit card cutter uppers

    Don't forget to cancel the accounts as soon as they're paid off otherwise they will still be listed as active on your credit report & eventually you will be sent a replacement card when the one you cut up is due to expire.

    next one to cut up will be the HSBC card for me - not in a few months, but probably in the summer!!!

    You have to bear in mind that the sooner you cut a card up the sooner you will pay it off.

    yeah hopefuly :) I still have the jigsaw pieces but I have more dignity than putting them together again and using the card online - I am a new person, I am a DFW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
