cctv help

hi i have installed a cctv system to watch my car/property as im fed upof having to pay out for vandalism to my property, if i connect camera to my tv it works fine but i cant work out how to record to an old vcr, my tv has 1 scart connection the vcr has 2 scart connections av1 and av2 and an rf lead to tv any help please,thanks.

    there is a scart type connection from the camera which i plug into tv scart and i get a picture, thanks

    Camera to scart on vcr, use the dedicated scart channel. Then use the other scart connector from the the vcr to the tv again using the dedicated scart channel on the TV

    Plug that into the video scart input and then the TV into the video's scart output.

    You don't record off the TV, you send the signal through the video and record that. The signal then goes through the video and onto the TV.

    i have plugged cctv into av1 scart on vcr and do i then plug tv scart lead into av2 on vcr which says decoder on it or record on vcr and then pull out cctv scart and plug in tv scart to where cctv was plugged in? i cant seem to get a picture? if a put in a prerecorded video in i can get picture!

    Take photos of all the connectors, wander into your local Maplins and ask them what cable/bodgepiece you need.

    How about taking photos of all the connections you have, and posting them here, someone may be able to suggest a part number for you! Sorry I can't be more help, each VCR/system is setup slightly differently, although if everything has scart inputs it *ought* to be simple.

    BTW SCART from the camera does sound rather unusual.

    When you connect it through the VCR are you leaving the VCR turned on and not in standby. Some will not pass through the signal if they are in standby. Another thing to check is that the VCR is set to scart output when it is turned on it may be sending the picture out on the standard ariel connection.
