Hi all
Any top level Outlook experts out there ?
I need to change the domain name on a large number of entries in my outlook contacts from xxxxxxxltd.com to xxxxxxxxgroup.com.
Anyone know of any quick and easy way of doing this or any free software that could do it if there isn't an easy manual way ?

- In the Address Book Export Tool, highlight Text File (Comma Separated Values) and select Export.
- open the file in excel or something (after making a copy of the original file just in case !! ) and use "edit" and "replace all " to replace all the entries, then save in the same format.
- Import back in to Outlook

Cheers dude.
Am I right in thinking that will extract the whole .pst file rather than just contacts ?
Thanks
again

In Outlook 2003, you can File - Import and Export, then select just the Contacts folder.0

The File menu on the main Outlook window, not the Address Book window.0

wonder if either of you can help on another matter , if I may call on your time a tad more.
At work we have 5 accounts set up on our Outlook - we're a team of three and we have our own main account and one for each of four clients.
We operate on a global i box system so we get all mails : our own and from all 4 clients to one inbox (profile). We have set up so a copy of the message is left on the server for somewhere between 3 and 5 days - to ensure we all get all the emails.
Now this has caused an issue with 2 out of the three sets (my biggest puzzle on this is why just two of the three)
So the issue for a colleague and myself is if we ever close down outlook (we usually leave it open to avoid the problem) when we re-open it it downloads all emails going back several days again - most annoying.
Now I have been given a fix, **BUT** it only works temporarily, as follows:
1) Do a send/receive
2) Go in to the bit where "leave a copy on the server" is selected and deselct this
3) do another send and receive - now in theory this should clear the server yes ?
4) Completely close down outlook again
5) Open it and do a send and receive
6) go back into and select leave copy on server
7) do another send/receive.
Now this usually sorts the problem **BUT** only for ashort time - i'd guesstimate less than 24 hours.
Any ideas how to solve this for once and for all ?
Thanks guys
