LOL I have that too.
Lloyds Buisness banking already has it.....

I have accounts with HSBC, Lloyds and Halifax. If all 3 have readers it's going to be a lot of effort!0 -
Oh dear - yes I have it too. HATE these things.0

I have a Lloyd's account
Barclay's have had them for a few years

Im trying not to be phased by it but your all making me loose my mind on mass!! My head is loosing it's hair. I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.0

I saw that today too! I hope they don't get the readers, I think Lloyds is the best for online banking because it DOESN'T have them!

The reader looks the same as the barclays one, so itll be interchangeable with co op natwest rbs and nationwide ones I can imagine.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0

This is what they are saying on Twitter:

We are not aware of any current plans to introduce a device or card reader for personal Internet Banking. ^LTSB

I've checked with our Online Helpdesk & there was an error earlier on the Memorable Information page indicating this. ^LTSB
Thank the lord!! I Hope they don't introduce the damn thing!0 -
I don't know why people seem to have a problem with these readers. You just put your card in and your PIN and enter the numbers the reader gives you onto your login page. Hell of a lot more secure than before. I also believe that the barclays reader accepts cards for other banks - so perhaps you can make do with one reader? It's just an algorithm generator. If you will the end, you must will the means.0

It's because you have to wait until you get home, in order to use your card reader to do certain transactions during the day. Or carry it around with you. Lloyds TSB allow you to put things right before 4.30pm if you become aware during the day that you accidently went into overdraft, i.e. recieve their free text message, for example and you wanted to avoid the monthly fees by moving money around between accounts.0
