The Modern Estate Agent - What do you want?

Options
Hi there, not here to promote my business in any way what I would like to know from people who are selling their homes or have sold their home what is important to them and what they feel is lacking in service.

Couple of Questions to add to that too:

What in your opinion is a "Fair" Fee?

What do you think to Internet Estate Agents Compared with Local Estate Agents? Is there a gap in the market for a Hybrid Solution?

Were you satisfied with the service you recieved with your last agent?

Do you think free advice videos filmed on youtube for sellers is a good idea? (i.e how to present your home etc..)

What is most important to you when selecting an agent to sell your property (Fees, Coverage, Service etc?)

Hope I havent broken any rules, look forward to your feedback.

Thanks

J.

You're not trying to promote your business, but you post with your real surname, and your location....... hmmm

    Hi There,

If I removed my location from my profile would that make you happy?

I would be even happier if you removed most of the exclamation marks from your rightmove listings...
  • Is your first name James? Seems like blatant self-promotion unfortunately.
    Thinking critically since 1996....

Indeed. Here's the link from his homepage: http://www.jameskendall.co.uk/
  • Here we go again :D these threads rarely end well!
My home is usually the House Buying, Renting and Selling Forum where I can be found trying to (sometimes unsucessfully) prove that not all Estate Agents are crooks. With 20 years experience of Sales/Lettings and having bought and sold many of my own properties I've usually got something to say ;)

  • How long have you been trading?

Hi there, I see the detectives have been at work!

Answer me this, where is the self promotion in my post?
I am going to remove my location and website from my profile.
It seems strangely ironic that people are quick to jump on the backs of estate agents for doing such a bad job, but when someone asks for opinions and ways to improve they are jumped on!

Can we turn this into positivity now?

    Thanks

    Hi There,

We started trading at the start of July this year, this isn't a thread about my business though.

    Thanks

Ultimately it is though...isn't it? You are effectively asking for ways to improve your business by asking what the general public wants from an agent. It's self-promotion, nothing more, nothing less.
