In my garden I have a Brick built shed and the 8'x8' roof is in very poor condition, I am going to order the materials 2 8'x4' sheets of ply, roll of good felt, and the glue etc and then I need to find someone to strip the old roof off and re-roof it for me, now I need advice as to roughly how much labour charges should I expect to pay.
Thanking you Drinda.

I wont name which company I work for as I'm not trying to sell you anything (and we dont sell via wholesalers anyway). You should look to be paying roughly £100-£150 for the labour. However if you want your shed to last you should not go for anything that is stuck in glue. This is likely to be an oxidised bitumen product and is ****.
You should try and go for 2 layers of SBS modified bituminous felt, bonded by torching with a gas gun. Steer clear of liquids, EPDM, Single Ply materials etc, they are also **%* (I should know we sell em too!). If you do this your roof will last 25-40 yrs. When I was on the tools I would have charged around £250 all in including all materials and labour.
Hope this helps and feel free to PM me if you need any advice.0 -

Yes it has a small slope and the roof joists are ok.
I'm in Essex off the A127

Then I would roof it with something like these,

Too far from me or I would have been tempted to help out for beer money, if the joists are OK it is a simple job, wickes even tell you how to fix them.0 -
My father reroofed his slightly larger shed with bitumised corrugated sheets about 25 years ago. The roof is still waterproof.0

Sheds are a tough one. I t depends what you are housing really. Then you can decide how 'good' you want the roof to be. Cheap price - cr*p job, generally speaking.Nico0

I just want a nice dry shed to house my many garden tools, my old wooden shed has seen better day's, I also want to move most of my husband tools out of the garage, he has electric and hand tools everywere some have never seen the light of day and at 77 he will never use most of them again, I can't remember the last time he picked up a hammer and when I need a tool I have to spend a day looking for it so it would be nice to have it organised in a nice dry shed.
Thanks to all Drinda.0
