Switching to Primus - Will it affect Sky Bill?

I've had Sky in for about 14 months now.
I get the full TV and multi-room
and Sky talk with free basic broadband.

If I go over to Primus for my home phone to
save a few quid will Sky start charging me
for the broadband or increase my bill
in any other way?

Don't think you can have Sky Talk unless you have a BT or a Sky line.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

    I have a BT line.
I would like to know if I can drop Sky Talk for Primus
without Sky putting my bill up for my other services.

AFAIK, Primus no longer offer CPS calls packages for new customers (you have to take their line rental too).

Similarly, you cannot have Primus line rental with anyone else's calls package.

Could be wrong here, but Sky charge an extra £5 for broadband if you dont take 'sky talk', so if the unlimited broadband is £7.50/month, it would be £12.50 without taking the calls, as you are getting 'free' broadband, presumably you dont use more then 2Gb/month, i dont know if this would become £5/month, but as already stated, if you intend to pay primus line rental, even though its obviously still a physical 'BT' line, Sky could say that you have to be either a BT (Retail) or Sky line rental customer to abide by Sky's T&C's...you should probably ask Primus and Sky. who do you pay line rental to ?, BT or Sky, if its Sky and you are a full LLU/MPF user, then you couldnt go to Primus without a lot of messing on, if you dial 17070 on your landline, and you get a AVR like ' Hi I'm Zoe' then you are Sky MPF

    Sky = IDIOTS!
    Why ?
I go on there website/call there sales line to enquire as to having a new service at my new house... There is a line still 'live' at my new house and i can get the circuit number...
for a Sky Talk tele line, they say it will cost £12.25pm, and then for there unlimited broadband, it will cost me £7.50pm....

MATHS TIME: Line rental with Sky for 12mths = £147
    Broadband with Sky for 12mths = £90
    Total: £237 (or £19.75pm)

On there website and talking to there Sales team on the phone, there yearly total comes to £262 (£17.25 for the 1st month, then £22.25 thereafter).
Naturally the sales guy on the phone is stuck as to why there system is useless, and as expected, takes my number to say he will call me back.... and of course, i dont get the call back...

So how do the Sky Sales team become so thick ?? or is it my maths is crap ?!
