Flying with Jet2 - Worried About Name

Hi Guys,

I wonder if you can help me.

My partners sister has booked us some flights to travel with them to Murcia on Sunday.

I have just looked at the booking email and she has put my partners name down as Jenny, on the passport it shows Jennifer.

Do you think this is going to cause a problem when checking in?

It would be better to get it changed. Some airlines, even Ryanair, are good at changing an obvious error FOC while others insist on charging a name change fee.

This happened to me and there was a Jet2 staff member lurking on the forum. His advice was to wait until at the airport and then mention it at check in. the other option was to phone Jet2 but there would probably be a charge.

My OH name is Jeffery and I put Jeff on the booking in error. I mentioned it at check in and they said it was ok and we boarded without a problem there and back.

I am a bit of a worrier though and if you are the same, it might be best to ring them and get it changed.

A similar thing happened to me with Jet 2 flying from Leeds.

I got there early, went to the sales desk, explained the problem and they changed it there and then. Very nice and helpful lady who said no charge for changing a christian name.
