Shower / Hot water making huming noise

Hi All,
Hope you can give me some advise on whats going on.
I turn on my hot water tap in my bathroom and the pipe behind the shower is making loud humming nose. It's not a banging noise just very loud.
I then tuned off the stop tap., which is under my sink downstairs.
We have a combi boiler, if that makes any difference? reading other forums it looks like there is Air trapped in the pipe.
Any ideas on what i would need to do?
Cheers,
Ketan

The pipe may be loose and reverberating, or there may be air in it0

what are Rads?
I think there must be air in it?
How do i get rid of it?0 -
Its almost certainly not air. With a combi boiler everything is on mains and you don't get airlocks at mains pressure.
Try reducing the flow rate of your cold water supply by closing the stop c o c k slightly. You only need to reduce it a little bit.
Try that and tell us what happens.

Well it turns out i've got a leek.
Looks in my bathroom, when i opened the stop tap a little. I can see water leaking near the radiator.
Also this has now gone under the bath room tiles, and started dripping down stairs :-(
Time to call the insurance company / plummer.
Thanks all for the quick replies0
