Some praise for EDF

Seen a lot of threads on here slating EDF, so thought i'd give them some praise for a change. I'm in the process of switching from British Gas, & so far its been a smooth switch. I've had no problems with their customer services & no issues with the online account. The longest i've had to wait for an advisor was 25 mins. This was in the middle of the day on a Saturday. When I called at a more off peak time I got straight through to somebody. I had an issue with my payment scheme in that they wanted to take the first direct debit earlier than I wanted them to (I wanted 22nd of the month, they wanted to take the first payment on the 8th & then the rest on 22nd of each month) I called them (the 25 min wait phone call) & asked if they could amend it. The advisor told me she'd cancel my direct debit & reinstate it a few days later so that the first payment would be taken on my preferred date instead of the 8th. She called me last night off her own back to tell me she'd just re-set it up so that it would come out on 22nd.

So far i'm really pleased with them. Of course, that could all change in time, but for now, I wanted to offer them some praise. Long may it continue.

Just pray that the EDF debt collectors don't come looking for the "missed" DD on the 8th !!!!
