kodak camera wont turn on

good morning everyone, i was just wondering if anyone can help. I have a kodak easyshare v1233. I just went to take a pic of the squiddlies and it wont turn on. when i try the lens comes out partway but then it turns its self back off before its even fully on (hope that makes sense!). the battery is fully charged.
when on the usb cable it is showing as fully charged, but wont let me download pics to laptop either.
I'm really hoping it's something simple as I cant afford a new camera! thanks in advance xx

take the battery out for a few minutes then put back in, I had a similar prob with a samsung camera - worked a treat doing this.

let me know how you get on, if that does not work google your camera or look on the makers website as may have help section there
